Welcome!
Channel Islands National Park is located in the Pacific Ocean, right off the Californian coast. It is a collection of 5 channel islands, including: San Miguel, Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, and Santa Barbara. Considering the national park is part of the ocean environment, it provides plenty of cultural and natural resources, as well as a variety of ecosystems and biomes. The park is 390 square miles, only 2,500 miles off the North American coast, and home to over 2,000 plant and animal species. To make the island even more exciting, 145 of those species can only be found in Channel Islands National Park. The park is known as the "North American Galapagos." The United States Congress established the park in 1980 in order to lawfully monitor and protect the wildlife and environmental conditions.
For this project, we were asked to design a website that discussed general biological factors of a national park. I chose Channel Islands National Park in California because I had not previously known much about it before, and was very eager to learn more. Please enjoy the website I have created. Navigate by using the headings at the top of the page. The attachment linked below is the document that explains the layout of my website and which objectives I chose to include (for the requirements with different options). If you are having trouble finding the different fundamental elements of my website, the document also provides information on what pages each requirement is on. Enjoy!
